• 1. How to get travel insurance for a child only?

  Travel insurance for kids under 18 can be easily bought on our website. We offer Single Trip, Multitrip and Backpacker holiday cover. On Annual Multitrip Family Travel Insurance, kids can be insured at no additional cost.

• 2. Can I get baby travel insurance?

  At Multitrip.com, there is no minimum age restriction, so you can get baby travel insurance that includes cover for an infant, a newborn baby or a toddler. The baby would be covered for medical emergencies and repatriation if needed. Accessories such as buggies or car seats can be considered under the baggage section up to the policy limits. Furthermore, if you take 1 or 2 Year Multitrip Family policy you can include your baby at no extra cost (maximum age limit applies).

• 3. How much is travel insurance for children?

  At Multitrip.com, there is no difference in price between children and adult cover. However, if the plan is to travel together, it will work out cheaper to take out Annual Multitrip Family Travel Insurance policy as up to 8 children can be included at no additional cost.

• 4. What is the maximum age to be considered a child for travel insurance?

  Any person under the age of 19 (or under 24 if living at home and in full time education) is considered a child by Multitrip.com.

• 5. Can a child and adult travel separately on Annual Multitrip Family Travel Insurance?

  On Annual Multitrip Family cover, the named adults/spouses can travel separately/independently. Children under 16 years of age cannot travel independently, while those who are 16 years of age or over are covered to travel independently from their parents provided they are travelling on an organised school or college trip only and with a responsible adult aged 18 years or over.

• 6. Can children under 18 travel alone on a Single Trip?

  Yes, any child is covered to travel independently provided they have purchased individual type of cover.

• 7. Does travel insurance cover children with pre-existing medical conditions?

• 8. Can you add a child to an insurance policy at any time?

  Yes, you can do so on Multitrip Family Travel Insurance prior to commencing on your trip. You can add up to 8 children under the same holiday cover at no additional cost.
